It’s not often that you meet a church with such a thirst for the gospel. This past weekend I traveled to Balakiia where we led an evangelism training seminar with Light of the Gospel Church.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This town lived through a serious of explosions last year that\u00a0damaged nearly every building in town<\/a>. Praise God that the Church was able to rise up and show the love of Christ by feeding those in need and helping to rebuild damaged homes.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

While in Balakliia we trained about 35 believers for summer evangelism. This week they are already putting to practice some of what they were taught in an outreach in a nearby town!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It was a privilege\u00a0to help train their members in evangelism. Pray now that God would use the training to bring many people to faith in Jesus Christ!<\/p>\n

I also ministered at Light of the Gospel Church on Sunday morning for Pentecost Sunday. I shared the gospel from 1 Tim 3:14-16. After the morning service I had lunch with the church leaders and encouraged them in their ministries. It was obvious that this church has a great passion for the Gospel and love for each other.<\/p>\n

While I was in Balakliia I also sat down with Pastor Aleksander and he shared with me about how the explosions caused widespread panic and how the church responded by helping to evacuate people and feeding those in need.
