Things are getting more difficult for Churches in Eastern Ukraine<\/h1>\n

New law in the Separatist controlled areas of Eastern Ukraine are forcing churches to register and to submit their doctrinal statements to the government for “approval.” The registration requirements are very high and make it practically impossible for many churches to have a legal status in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Business as missions training in Eastern Ukraine<\/h1>\n

Next week I’ll be helping lead a 5 day “business as missions” course in Eastern Ukraine. The idea behind this training is to help Christian businessmen and women to understand how they can serve the Kingdom of God through their business. We will have several participants from the Separatist controlled areas where it is becoming increasingly difficult to legally have a church, yet businesses can help make sure pastors are supported and churches have the means to continue preaching the gospel.<\/p>\n

Resurrection celebration for Ukrainian soldiers<\/h1>\n

\nWe were shocked when nearly 50 soldiers showed up this past Sunday for our Easter service on the military base.
\n\"\"
\nI’m not aware that any of these young men have ever been in a Protestant Church, yet they come on their own will to our outreaches.
\n\"\"
\nI preached to them from Luke 24 about the two disciples on the road to Emmaus and how they didn’t realize at first the truth of who Jesus was.
\n\"\"
\nThe soldiers asked for books to read, so we are providing them with a small library of Christian books.
\n\"\"
\nThanks to “In Touch Ministries” for also providing audio Bible players.<\/p>\n

“The Story of Hope” in Ukrainian<\/h1>\n

We have translated and printed 50 copies of “The Story of Hope” in Ukrainian. Once we receive feedback on the Ukrainian version from native speakers we will be doing a larger print run of 1,000 copies.<\/p>\n
