\u201cI have a very nice chair at home with bigger wheels,\u201d Sveta says apologetically. \u201cUnfortunately, they won\u2019t let me\u00a0 go home.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The pain in her voice is evident as she talks about being forced to leave everything behind when the war broke out in eastern Ukraine. Her feelings of homesickness are interwoven with a profound sense of powerlessness that she, and so many others, are experiencing in this war.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
