You can watch some of our<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/-qKPrhIWjYQ\" target=\"_blank\"> trip here.<\/a><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-qKPrhIWjYQ?rel=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>The Problem of Impure Motivations in Ministry<\/h2>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">Impure motivations in ministry is not a new. It&#8217;s a basic human problem that seems to thrive in well established religious institutions and is often promoted by our church traditions.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">Jesus confronted this problem head on in Matthew chapter 6<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Mat 6:1-4<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">(1)<\/span><span style=\"color: #010101;\">\u00a0 Take care not to do your merciful deeds before men in order to be seen by them. But if not, you have no reward from your Father in Heaven.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">(2)<\/span><span style=\"color: #010101;\">\u00a0 Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, do not trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">(3)<\/span><span style=\"color: #010101;\">\u00a0 But you doing merciful deeds, do not let your left know what your right<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #808080;\"><i>hand<\/i><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #010101;\">does,<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">(4)<\/span><span style=\"color: #010101;\">\u00a0 so that your merciful deeds may be in secret. And your Father seeing in secret Himself will repay you in the open.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div align=\"left\">Jesus is clear and he is to the point! Which reward do you want, a few\u00a0vacuous words of praise that will make you feel good about yourself for the next half an hour, or do you want an eternal reward from your Heavenly Father?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<h2 align=\"left\">The Destructive Results of Impure Motivation<\/h2>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">Here are 6 negative results from impure motivations in ministry.<\/span><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">1. We steal what is rightly God&#8217;s, we are taking his glory (Isaiah 42:8)<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">2. We trad an eternal joy with a temporary feeling of self-glory.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">3. We kill our own spiritual growth.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">4. We numb ourselves to God&#8217;s greatness.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">5. We often rob the person we are ministering to by focusing the attention on ourselves.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #010101;\">6.
