{"id":554,"date":"2012-01-28T09:34:00","date_gmt":"2012-01-28T09:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sukofamily.org\/wordpress\/2012\/01\/january-ministry-update\/"},"modified":"2012-04-30T08:59:10","modified_gmt":"2012-04-30T08:59:10","slug":"january-ministry-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sukofamily.org\/january-ministry-update\/","title":{"rendered":"First Time Teaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mBc6_ZucwaM?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"justify\" valign=\"top\" width=\"100%\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Surprise Guests<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">We celebrate Christmas here on January 7th.\u00a0 This year my parents decided to surprise the grandkids by showing up unannounced on Christmas morning<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">.\u00a0 As you can imagine our children were delighted to wake up and find Grandma and Grandpa at our place.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">The next day both my dad and I preached in the morning service at our church.\u00a0 I like to tell people that we preached a &#8220;duet&#8221;.\u00a0 I am very thankful that God gave me godly parents who continue to serve the Lord faithfully and provide me with a great example.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Praise for a good visit by Caleb&#8217;s parents<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: large;\"><strong>First Time Teaching<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr size=\"1\" \/>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">This year I am doing something I&#8217;ve never done before,\u00a0 I&#8217;ll be teaching my first course at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cmieurasia.org\/\">Church Ministries Institute<\/a>.\u00a0 Starting next month I will be team teaching Basic Theology.\u00a0 This course runs on Saturdays at our training center in Odessa.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Later this Spring I will also be helping to teach our evangelism course, which includes the Good Soil training as part of the course. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><strong>Pray for Caleb as he prepares to teach<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Pray for the students who will be attending these courses<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: large;\"><strong>Finding the Right Leadership<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr size=\"1\" \/>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">After the passing of Pastor Peter my role as a leader in our church,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hopeforpeople.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hope for People,<\/a>\u00a0has become more vital.\u00a0 Currently we are going through the process of choosing a few men for ordination.\u00a0 This is an important step for the church to make and we need your prayers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"> Our church is young so not only will be doing an ordination soon but we are also working through the task of setting up a working leadership structure.
