Caleb Suko, a Baptist missionary in Odessa, sees the anxiety as he interacts with friends and neighbors. In his blog about life in Ukraine, Suko writes about the new normal: \u201cPeople are on edge and it shows in their faces. Smoke rising in the distance could just be someone burning garbage, or it could be a provocation, the beginning of something ugly. A distant boom makes you wonder, \u2018Was that a car backfiring or was it something much more ominous?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
