I especially enjoy the skies when the seasons change from winter to spring. During this time of year the heavens are constantly changing. It&#8217;s like God is daily conducting a silent symphony in the sky.<\/p>\n<p>The problem is that we are often so busy with a myriad of insignificant tasks that we rarely notice what God is doing right above our heads!<\/p>\n<p>I recorded <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Clouds time lapse\" href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/iSfFcuOt2jY\" target=\"_blank\">this video<\/a><\/span> looking outside our living room window yesterday.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iSfFcuOt2jY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<strong>Here&#8217;s a few reasons why you should look up more often.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>The heavens declare the glory of God!<\/h4>\n<p>Fixing our eyes heavenward helps us comprehend the character and nature of God better. We often forget to look up and instead focus on what is below, we focus on ourselves and our problems. God wants us to remember that He is greater that our problems and he is in control.<\/p>\n<h4>Jesus looked up<\/h4>\n<p>Jesus looked up to the heavenly father when he prayed in Mark 6:41. We need to&nbsp;create&nbsp;the habit of &nbsp;looking up to our Heavenly Father in prayer. Physically looking at the clouds or the stars remind us of our great need for prayer and intimate fellowship with God the Father. &nbsp;(Thanks to my brother-in-law <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Rogers Piano Studio\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rogerspianostudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Rogers<\/a><\/span> for reminding me of this in his <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/new.livestream.com\/discoverybaptistgigharbor\/events\/1925261\" target=\"_blank\">sermon<\/a><\/span> last Sunday.)<\/p>\n<h4>Jesus will&nbsp;descend&nbsp;from the heavens<\/h4>\n<p>Some day Jesus will come back to claim what is rightfully his, which is everything! When he comes back he will make a grand entry coming down from the heavens with power and judgement (Revelation 19:11-16)<\/p>\n<p>All followers of Jesus should live in anticipation of this day!<\/p>\n<h4>Question: Can you think of any other benefits of looking heavenward?<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I like to watch clouds.
