I’ve always loved baptisms, it is a time that exudes hope and new life. \u00a0However, since moving to Ukraine I think I have started to like them even more! \u00a0We live less than 10 mins from the shore of the Black Sea so there is really no need to have a baptismal tank when you can use the one God created just down the street! I’d have to say there is also something special about doing baptisms in the sea under the open heavens, it makes you realize that God is looking down and smiling!<\/p>\n

As usual we had the baptism at 8:30 AM and then went back to the church for th regular service which at 10:00. \u00a0I had the privilege of praying for those who were baptized and leading communion as well.<\/p>\n

We also took a little time to honor all the students who are starting up school again. \u00a0 Anastasia is in 1st grade now, which is a pretty big deal here. She joined the other 1st graders up front and even got a special gift from the church! At the end of the service we had all the students come up and I think more than half the church got out of their seats. \u00a0We prayed that God would bless the students and give them a successful school year.<\/p>\n
