These verbs are in the present imperative and could be translated, “Be repenting and be believing.”

It seems that most people understand that faith or belief isn’t something that you do once and then you stop. To believe in Jesus is to continually believe in Jesus for the whole of your life! That’s why we are called “believers” Repentance is similar. To repent isn’t something you do for a moment and then you’re done, we are called to be repentant, it should characterize our lives.

Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 49:46 — 45.6MB) | Embed

Subscribe: Email | RSS

Looking out over the Evangelical churches today I’m concerned when I see that some of them tend to steer wide of clear gospel preaching in their churches.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[451,297
98,519,228
post-12044","post","type-post","status-publish","format-audio","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sermon","category-podcast","tag-gospel","tag-gospel-preaching","tag-preaching","post_format-post-format-audio
What separates the preaching of today's celebrity preachers like Joel Osteen from some of the great preachers of history like Charles Spurgeon?
